Katee Sackhoff / Tricia Helfer / Karl Urban Tulip Ride Fundraiser

dsssAs owners and webmanagers of the BSG-M website  , we have participated in- and (co) ran multiple fundraisers in the past. Those who follow us on twitter or facebook  know that we also advocate for a variety of causes through social media.

This campaign is a micro-fundraiser which will be split 50/50 between 2 great charities we support. The Tulip Ride (which supports the Seattle Humane Society and will be attended by Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer, as well as “Star Trek”s Karl Urban ) and Last Chance For Animals , which is based out of Los Angeles. You can click on the websites above to see what they strive for.

Any donation that comes in through this fundraiser will be donated and split between these charities. The Tulip Ride (which we will be attending) takes place April 16, so this campaign will close off April 16, 2016 at exactly 11.59.59 AM (PDT)

What’s in it for me? Is there something in it for me?!

How good of you to ask!
Over the past few months, we have been involved in a secret mission to gather a sort of “(geeky?) prize package” that can be obtained by participating in this fundraiser. (preview photo below does not contain the entire package as some things could not fit in the photo and/or are still on their way/in progress)

12802771_10208662828831224_7001250597172601945_nWe have added some things to this package (such as Nu-BSG Funkos) but what makes this really EXTRAORDINARY is that:

With the help of awesome donators such as Mark Verheiden (Executive Producer a.o: “Battlestar Galactica”, “Contantine”, “Daredevil”), Rekha Sharma (“Battlestar Galactica”, “The 100”), Simon Pegg  (“Star Trek”, “Ice Age”), Roger Cross (“Continuum”, “Dark Matter”), Jessica Pimentel  (“Orange Is The New Black”), Duncan Lacroix  (“Outlander”, “Vikings”) we were able to turn the original idea of a 1-pack prize idea, into a 3-tier prize pack. (click image for full size).

We will forward a list of all items (+ separate photos) once we reach 250 USD, however you can already get a sneak preview in the graph below (please also read the smaller print which has details and legalities and stuff like that…). What we can tell you (as a form of sneak preview) is that there is a “Battlestar Galactica” script to season 4 episode 13 titled “The Oath”, which was signed by Mark Verheiden.
Thank you for your time and we hope this will be a succesful fundraiser!

You can find the fundraiser page HERE or by clicking any of the images

Thank you to all people involved for making this possible. Thanks to the (prize) donators for their extreme generosity and thank you to the organizers of The Tulip Ride and the people who help out these good causes on a day to day basis (whether as an employee or as a volunteer). And thanks to you all for reading (and hopefully donating!)
