Battlestar Galactica’s Donnelly Rhodes Passes Away   Recently updated !


The Battlestar Galactica community has lost one of its own. We are saddened to learn – per a news release of Northern Exposure Talent Agency – of the passing of Donnelly Rhodes who so brilliantly portrayed Doc Sherman Cottle in the re-imagined “Battlestar Galactica” series. Donnelly passed away in Maple Ridge, British Columbia (Canada), he was 80 years old.

In his career in performing arts spanning over six decades, Donnelly Rhodes worked on over 150 film- and TV projects and earned numerous awards and nominations. Prior to his acting career, Donelly Rhodes served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an airman-mechanic. Some of his notable roles include “Sidestreet”, “Da Vinci’s Inquest”, “Soap”, “Danger Bay”, and of course “Battlestar Galactica”.

Donnelly is survived by his wife, his daughter and his son.
